About Production

A blend of Caturra and Castillo varieties grown at ~1700 meters above sea level

Grown by various smallholders in Valle del Cauca, located in the southwestern corner of Colombia. This Cauca Valley is surrounded by mountains that help maintain its year-round stable microclimate and is well known for its sugarcane plantations. It is no surprise then, that naturally occurring ethyl acetate derived from fermented sugarcane molasses is elegantly used to decaffeinate coffee without sacrificing the coffee flavor
