COLOMBIA Huila
COLOMBIA Huila
Tasting Notes: Milk Chocolate, Nectarine, Caramel
Processing Method: Washed
Roast Level: Light
Why this bean: at first sip this coffee presents a combination of sweet milk chocolate and nectarine flavors accompanied by undertones of caramel and mild spice (think clove). We found this to be a juicy and round cup whose flavor did not linger too long after a sip. Let us know what you taste
About the Origin: coffees from Huila are often award-winning coffees known for producing cups that have fruity notes, sweet acidity, and fragrant aromas. This particular one is sourced from small, family-owned farms at 1,500 - 1,800 MASL that have two harvest times: between September and December (main harvest) as well as from April - May / June
Washed Processing: Coffee cherries are sorted for consistent ripeness then sent through depulping machines to remove the pulp / skin and then fermented to remove the mucilage. Lastly, the coffee is dried till it reaches the desired moisture level.
