What’s in a Name?

At Katï, we are convinced that each individual has unique and personal preferences with coffee flavors. Coffee flavor is influenced by several factors, including but not limited to, bean variety, region (where it’s grown), terrior (characteristics of the farming soil, land), processing method, and roasting process.

For someone who revels in permutations, combinations, and infinite possibilities, this couldn’t be more exciting. For others, once they have found those preferred combinations, they stick to them until something else (either by chance or design) catches their attention. Others yet still, find the entire space exhausting and overwhelming, and rightfully so.

To help our customers navigate the myriad of flavors, we group our coffees into collections of similar coffees. The idea is simple: find a coffee you like and check out other coffees in the same collection or use the descriptions below to guide your search for coffees you might enjoy.

Ruuë (delicate)

Typically roasted light and are often floral, fruity, and/or tea-like; they are delicate, like feathers

Rägd (resolute)

Often tending towards medium-dark, these coffees have earthy, savory, or spicy notes; they conjure thoughts of a firmly rooted tree

Röxi (radiant)

A dedicated collection for decaf coffees from around the world; they are bright and radiant, like sunflowers, even without caffeine
