2024: Dreams into Reality
LET'S CELEBRATE 2024
… what a year it was!
As 2024 unfolded, my professional path was clear, well-defined, but lacking inspiration. In February, I decided to make a change and chase my passions. Today, I am very proud of where Katï Coffee is and eager to see what we can make of 2025!
Thank you, dear friends, for taking this ‘little detour’ with me; your support is what drives us.
Here are a few milestones from 2024:
March
Formed Katï LLC
… and spent the subsequent months immersing myself in the coffee industry and the details of setting up a coffee roastering business.
April - June
Roastery Site Selection and Major Equipment Procurement
… was a process fraught with challenges and road blocks; but our resilience paid off. And I am very happy with our current location and the suite of equipment and systems in place.
July
Established the Katï Educational Scholarship Fund
… at Southwestern University Georgetown, TX (go Pirates!), for women in STEM, meeting a long-standing desire to give back to the community in a meaningful way.
August
Soft Launched the Coffee Roasting Business
… for overall market feedback and most especially, a deeper understanding of our customers' preferences. It certainly helped expand our offerings beyond our initial ideas.
September
Met all State and Local Requirements for the Roastery
… successfully completing a rigorous permitting process. As a retail food establishment, it was critical that we comply with regulations, setting the roastery up for success.
October
Officially Opened the Katï Coffee Roastery
… a manufacturing facility in Georgetown, TX that also houses our retail store front. I am particularly proud of the rigor, safety, and attention to detail poured into this facility.
November
Released our first collaboration blend (3991 HOOK & LADDER)
… with the Georgetown Association of Firefighters and followed with a donation to their Benevolent Fund. I am looking forward to growing this partnership over the coming years.
December
Held our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
… to conclude a phenomenal year of learning, growth, and bringing a dream to reality. I am grateful to Georgetown, TX and its Chamber of Commerce for welcoming us with open arms.
Where do we go in 2025?
UP, UP, and UP!!!
I’m looking forward to growing Katï Coffee towards becoming the supplier of choice for specialty roasted coffee beans in Williamson County, TX, while expanding our reach with new and long-lasting community partnerships.
